Black Sheep flock together for annual party
The
Black Sheep were once members of the same Shepherd Group at Presbyterian
Kirk in the Pines. They all belong to different Shepherd Groups
now, as members change every two years. In order to stay together
the original fellowship group named themselves “The Black
Sheep” and have continued to meet annually for the past 17
years.
“We’ve been around for a long time and just enjoy each
other’s company,” said one of the Black Sheep.
Their post-Christmas party Jan. 2 was not only a reunion, but also
honored former Kirk pastor Sam Pope and his wife Cora Jane. The
Popes were visiting from Franklin, N.C., where Rev. Pope is an interium
pastor. |
