| The
2011 tour led by Pastors Bill Bailey and Don Trent in November began
and ended in Rome, Italy. The group, made up of Kirk members and
relatives, were able to view Venice from gondolas, statues of Michael
Angelo and the majestic David in Florence, and walk on paving stones
and marble plazas laid several centuries before Christ in the City
of Pompeii. Other sites visited also included a chapel in the Vatican
where a sculptor spent four pears painting the ceiling, and the
Coliseum of Rome where gladiators and Christians lost their lives
to wild beasts for entertainment. |
