Mission
Committee assists Christian Medical Clinic 2009
Kirk
Mission Committee members prepared and delivered dinner for 60 of
the Hot Springs Charitable Christian Medical Clinic volunteers who
go directly from their daily jobs for evening clinic hours.
Volunteer doctors, nurses, pharmacists and support staff provide
85 to 120 uninsured patients daily with medical care, prescription
medication, preventive medicine and health education.
Kirk volunteers at the clinic are registered pharmacist, Jim Knox
and his wife Karen, Roberta Shock and Dotty Rector.
The clinic, 133 Arbor St., has been in operation for over 10 years.
Financial support comes from individuals, churches, grants, companies
and memorials. It promotes physical and spiritual well-being and
encourages responsible lifestyles through medical and spiritual
education as an act of Christian kindness. |
