Kirk volunteers help Heifer Project International

Norm Martin, aka Farmer Noah, was one of many volunteers from the Kirk who helped make the 15th annual Heifer Project Living Gift Market on Nov. 14 a success. Heifer is one of two international missions the Kirk supports. Heifer’s program is an ambitious one: To end world poverty and hunger. The animals purchased are given away to a family who in turn pass on its prodigy to another family. This “passing of the gift” has been a successful way to spread the benefits to entire communities.
