Choir Appreciation Dinner
Members
of the Kirk’s vocal and bell choirs fairly danced out of Hoffius
Hall April 29 after being treated by the Session to a lovely dinner
and evening of entertainment to thank them for their year of service
to the congregation.

Purple
iris from the garden of floral arranger, Christine Hoagland,
made up a striking centerpiece for the refreshment table with
smaller versions gracing each dining table.

Choir members and their guests enjoyed a delicious assortment
of cheese, dips, hors’ de oeuvres and punch before dinner

Dan Utter, well-known Village vocalist aka “The Singing
Painter,” received standing ovations for his spirituals
sung after dinner. The emotional highlight of the evening came
with his rendition of “Lord, Listen to Your Children Prayin’.”
The
magnificent voices of Kirk Minister of Music,
Larry Bradley (left) and guest vocalist, Dan Utter,
blended in a beautiful duet.

Dottie Isaacson served punch while fellow Session
members
paused before serving guests with a delicious pork loin dinner.
