Presbyterian Women Dedicate Birthday Offering and Honor Three Members

At their spring gathering on May 12, Kirk Presbyterian Women dedicated their 2008 Birthday Offering. This year the Birthday Offering grants funded two projects. One went to Presbyterian Church of Congo and Presbyterian Church of Kinshasa to help with roofing supplies for 19 schools, build five new structures, and supply teachers with textbooks and teaching materials. The other grant went to Lakeview Presbyterian Church Weekday School in New Orleans, Louisiana, which was flooded by eight feet of water during Hurricane Katrina. The Birthday Offering will help to rebuild the facility and expand its services. PW also honored three of their members for their commitment to Jesus Christ and to His people. Martha Fast received the 2008 Kirk Woman of Faith Award, and Charlotte Massey and Margery McIntosh received the PW Life Membership Award.
