Children of Uhekule have an HSV Advocate, June 25, 2008

Carolyn Kane (pictured left) moderator of Congregational Care, welcomed Kay Oursler, Peace Corps volunteer, to the Kirk's potluck supper on June 25. Oursler spoke about her work in the village of Uhekule in Tanzania, Africa. She shared a PowerPoint presentation and told about her plan to build an orphanage for children left alone due to the death of their parents from AIDS. The Kirk's Congregational Care Committee presented Oursler with a check to help build the orphanage. . .
