Kirk Celebrates 2nd Anniversary of Informal Worship Service

Recently Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines celebrated the second year anniversary of the Informal Worship Service. This service is held at 5:00 p.m. in Hoffius Hall each Saturday. Dress is casual. The group enjoys singing gospel songs and praise choruses with words projected on a screen. Joys and concerns are shared before prayer. Reverend Don Trent, pastoral associate, reads scripture and brings the message. The people enjoy warm fellowship before and after the service.

Although a different format from the Sunday morning services, this option is available to those who prefer less formality in worship. The Kirk has added a number of new members who have joined the church after attending on Saturday evenings.
