Mowry – Stewardship Committee
Clark Mowry and his wife, Jean, moved to Hot Springs Village in
2006 from Webster City Iowa.
Clark was confirmed in St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church
in Wheatland, Iowa, and a member of the First Congregational United
Church of Christ in Webster City from 1970 until he and Jean joined
the Kirk in 2007.
Over the years, Clark has been a foster parent, trustee, youth
advisor, Sunday school teacher, search committee member, National
Synod delegate and Association Cluster Leader for Stewardship,
which assisted churches in meeting their pledges and assessed
the importance of giving as faithful stewards.
Clark is a retired science teacher and coach. He is on the Kirk's
Education Committee, a member of Christian Friends, and makes
hospital visits. He and Jean sing in the choir and often provide
special music for the Saturday night and Sunday morning services.
Stewardship
The Stewardship Committee designs and conducts the Kirk's annual
financial campaign. The committee challenges Kirk members to be
good Christian stewards of the many gifts and blessings they receive
from God by encouraging members to find ways to share their time,
talents and treasures for the work of the Lord at the Kirk. |
