About Presbyterian Kirk In The Pines

Clark – Mission Committee moderator
Longtime Presbyterians Jan Clark and her husband, John, joined the Kirk in 2008 after moving from Lincoln, Neb. They had previously lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for 40 years where Jan had served as an elder at First Presbyterian Church. Jan has served on the Kirk Mission Committee; cooks with the Greenhorns, and is a leader for her Presbyterian Women's circle. She and John are co-leaders of their Shepherd Group.
Mission The Kirk in the Pines' active mission program provides spiritual, monetary, and hands-on support for over 25 local, national and international programs. Kirk members supply more than 32 bags of groceries each month to various local groups, including a crisis center for homeless families and a crisis center for abused women and their children. Through the Christmas Giving Tree the congregation gives presents to local children who might not otherwise experience the joy of Christmas. Dedicated offerings help support Presbytery and Synod missions, Presbyterian colleges and universities, Vera Lloyd Center and our very active Presbyterian Camp at Ferncliff. |
