About Presbyterian Kirk In The Pines

Theresa Nottrott—Membership Committee Moderator Theresa Nottrott and her husband Dave moved to the Village from Maroa, Illinois in 2003 and soon after became members of Kirk in the Pines. A life-long Methodist, Theresa said they were drawn to the Kirk because of the welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Theresa began participating in her Methodist church at an early age. She taught Vacation Bible School as a high school student, joined their Youth Group, and later taught Sunday School. As an adult, she was active in her church women’s organizations, served on the Stewardship and Outreach committees, and organized a new adult Sunday School class. Theresa and Dave, a retired Methodist minister, have three sons and a daughter and 9 grandchildren. Membership Joining a new church can be an overwhelming experience. The Kirk's Membership Committee makes it fun and easy! Our new member orientation and lunch introduce you to the members of the Session and the ways of the Kirk. As you ease into your new life at the Kirk, one of the members of this committee will act as your special friend and guide, to help you get acquainted with other members and explore options to participate in various committees and groups.
