Johnson — Clerk of Session
Jerral
grew up as a Southern Baptist and it was not until they moved
to Hot Springs Village from College Station, Texas, that he and
his wife, Marilyn, became Presbyterians.
He retired as associate department head in the Department of Plant
Pathology and Microbiology at Texas A&M University. During
this time he completed 20 years of military service in the Army
Reserve.
Since moving to the Village he has served as chairman of the Property
Owners’ Association’s Natural Resources Committee
and worked with POA Golf Committee.
Since becoming a member of Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines, Jerral
has served on the Mission Committee, Memorial Committee, as moderator
of the Fellowship Committee, co-chair of the Pastor Nominating
Committee and as Clerk of Session.
He has served as president of the Kirk Presbyterian Men’s
Association for over three years and is responsible for the Gardening
… Alpha to Omega workshop. He is on the board of directors
of Vera Lloyd Children’s Home in Monticello, Ark.
He was installed in November 2009 to serve once again as Clerk
of Session.
