Two musical events sponsored by the Hot Springs Music Festival will be at the Kirk soon. On Thursday, May 31, at 7 p.m., a preview performance of Faure's Requiem for the Festival Chorus, soloists and organ will be performed in the Kirk sanctuary directed by Todd Cranson and accompanied by Lynn Payette. ____________________________ On Sunday afternoon, June 10 at 2 p.m., also in the Kirk sanctuary, will be a very special concert by the premier Cassatt String Quartet, Artists in Residence for the 2012 Festival Season. The Quartet will be joined by renowned pianist, Michael Gurt, in a performance of Dohnanyi’s Piano Quintet, Op. 1. Mark your calendars now to enjoy these coming opportunities. Tickets for both events will be available by phone for pick up at the door from the Hot Springs Music Festival Office 501-623-4763. Requiem tickets for Thursday evening are $10.00; tickets for String Quartet/Piano Concert are $15.00.
